Inventor export in MinuteView is provided through the Autodesk Vault tools — not by a standalone Inventor installation. The Vault client ships with the Inventor automation components (Inventor Server), and the engine uses those to perform Inventor exports. This means a full Autodesk Inventor install is not required; you only need a supported, licensed Vault client.
Readiness check
On the engine home page, the Autodesk Inventor Export check confirms the Vault client and its Inventor components are present. It must show Passed before Inventor tasks will run. See Server Readiness.

One Inventor export at a time
Inventor export is a serialised task: only one Inventor export can run on a server at any one time. This is a constraint of how the Inventor engine works. If several workflows reach an Inventor export simultaneously, they queue and run one after another.
This limit applies only to Inventor export. Vault connections are not serialised and continue to run in parallel.

| Symptom | Cause & resolution |
|---|---|
| Check fails: Vault client was not detected | The Vault client is not installed. Install a supported version (2025/2026/2027), 64-bit. |
| Check fails: Inventor Interoperability components could not be located | The Vault client is installed but without Inventor support. Re-run the Vault client installer and include the Inventor components. |
| Inventor exports fail to start or connect | The Vault client is not licensed correctly. Confirm the client is activated and can sign in to Vault. |
| Inventor exports run one at a time | Expected behaviour — Inventor export is serialised. Throughput is one export per server at a time; other (non-Inventor) tasks continue in parallel. |
