GemBox Service Account — Setup Guide

Overview Use this guide to create and configure a GemBox service account in MinuteView Console. This service account enables:

• Advanced spreadsheet operations — Read, write, and manipulate Excel files in MinuteView Automations workflows
• Configurator spreadsheet functions — Power advanced spreadsheet-based calculations in MinuteView Configurator

This service account uses a GemBox API key for authentication. GemBox is a .NET library for spreadsheet processing — the API key unlocks the full licensed capabilities beyond the free-tier limitations.

1) Obtain a GemBox API Key

1. Visit GemBox at https://www.gemboxsoftware.com/
2. Purchase or obtain a license for GemBox.Spreadsheet
3. After purchase, you will receive an API Key (also called a license key or serial key)
4. Store the key securely

Note: GemBox offers a free mode with row/cell limitations. A paid license removes these limitations for production use.

2) Create Service Account in MinuteView Console

1. Navigate to Console → Service Accounts
2. Click New to create a new service account
3. Configure the following settings:

Configuration Fields

Field	Description
Name	A descriptive name for this service account, e.g. GemBox-License
Service Account Type	Select GemBox from the dropdown
API Key	Enter your GemBox license key

4. Click Save to create the service account

3) Troubleshooting

Spreadsheet operations failing or producing limited output

• Verify the API key is correct and has not expired
• Check that the GemBox license covers the product edition you need (e.g. GemBox.Spreadsheet)

"License not found" errors in automation logs

• Ensure a GemBox service account exists and is saved correctly in Console
• Verify the API key was entered without extra spaces or characters
